Have you ever gotten about 80 pages into a first draft, then decided it’s not working and end scrapping the whole thing?

Yeah, I thought so. *sigh*

ETA: I don’t plan to trash the pages. They’re just not working the way they’re going, so I have to do some serious reworking/cannibalizing, etc.
