The Opal Madness

I just finished reading How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life. All I have to say is that I wish, so much, that she’d not gotten caught up in all the scandal. I really enjoyed reading it. Am I a traitor for feeling that way? I don’t know. I do feel betrayed a bit, as some of my favorite parts turned out to be parts she’d allegedly lifted.

Sigh. This makes me VERY paranoid that I might be ripping off a favorite author of mine, intentionally or not. 🙁

  1. I have a copy from the library and am looking forward to reading it… sort of. Ha!

  2. wasn’t it like exact wording? I’m sure you can’t do that unintentionally, right?

  3. Ohh! I heard about that book. I want to read it, but it’s not being sold anymore, is it?

  4. I’m sure you have no reason to be paranoid. I’d love to read your book someday. i don’t think that writer actually wrote most of that book. i did a lot of research into the whole thing after it happened, and there were other writers that helped her with the book. and her parents’s money helped her out quite a bit too.
